Awesome Kite
Aunty Ang just had a holiday in Bali and as always when she has a holiday she came back with presents for the kids.
Check out the great kite she found! It is shaped like a giant ship. Unfortunately there is no wind today
Hopefully tomorrow we can take it for a test flight.
Adventure Ride
Matthew is getting a lot more confidence when it comes to riding his bike. So this weekend we were able to go for a much bigger ride.
Near our house is a creek. There is a nice path around it. We found an old concrete path through the middle of the creek. The water is low enough at the moment so we crossed it.
It really is a nasty old creek up close (lots of trash and shopping trolleys in it) but if you don’t focus on that and if the sun is in just the right spot, I think it looks kinda nice!
Easter Show 2008
Yesterday we braved the weather and headed to the Easter show. The weather kept the crowds down which was great!
We checked out the fruit displays and the cakes (yum!) I wonder what happens to these works or art once the show is over? I hope someone eats them.
We headed over to the woodchopping to see the ladies (Trudy wanted to check!) compete.
After that it was time for lunch and the lunch time show. Lots of cars going fast and motorbikes doing tricks.
Then off the see the animals. Trudy wants a cow for the house, but I don’t think we have the room!
After that we had a ride and then it was time to head home. It was a big day but lots of fun! The rest of the photos are here.
WCCS Fair Day
On Saturday Harrison and Matthews School had a Fair Day. The school was open for all to attend with plenty of things to do.
The kids got to have some rides and Mum and Dad got to look at the stalls. Trudy and I spent about 2 hours early in the morning helping set up, cooking and getting the food ready.
Both the kids also had a item to do and they where both great! (As always!)
A great day was had by all. The rest of the photos are here.
Mum and Dad Celebrate 60 years of birth
On the weekend Mum and Dad celebrated there birthdays together. Trudy, the boys and I worked hard all day to clean up the church hall and get ready.
It was great to see so many people I hadn’t seen in over 10 years. I had to introduce myself to Stephen Low twice! (Last time I saw him he was tiny and had blonde hair!)
The big concern I had was a speech I had to give. I am still getting over my fear of speaking in public. I wrote it out and practised it a bit and when it was time to give it, I felt OK. (I even got a few laughs)
Then it was time for cake. We got the largest one we could get and got a picture of Mum and Dad printed on it. Everyone wanted to cut up a bit and eat the guests of honour.
A great night was had by all!
Day in Kiama
So yesterday we worked hard all day cleaning and doing house work, when we woke on Sunday morning the day looked great! We decided that more housework was out of the question. So we all piled into the car and headed to Kiama.
We stopped off at the blowhole and unlike the last time we went this time it was going off!
After looking at the shops we headed to Gerroa for some lunch with Amanda, Luke and Lynda. What a fantastic place for a club. Right on the top of the hill looking over Seven Mile Beach.
Finally we headed off to Gerringong for a swim in the rockpool and then a very tired family headed back home.
Slap Corey
By now I am sure you have all heard about this tool called Corey. He decided to have a party, invite a stack of tools (like 500 of em) Of course the behavior got out of control, the cops got called etc.
Now in most cases that is where the story would end, but this guy is some kind of media whore, front page of the newspaper and on the telly. The funniest bit of media I read was all about him not being famous enough to get on Wikipedia.
Now comes the greatest flash game ever!
Slap Corey. Go on you know you want to!
Pickup Turban
Just found this awesome site. You have to check it out!
